Dr Dan Wills graduated from the University of Sydney with First Class Honours in 2010. He worked in mixed practice for 2 years, followed by small animal general practice for 4 years.
Dan obtained membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Small Animal Surgery in 2016 and undertook a rotating and surgical internship at the University of Sydney from 2016-2018.
Dan is involved in research as a Vet Surgeon and Research Associate at the Surgical and Orthopaedic Research Laboratories, Sydney, helping to further the understanding of surgical interventions in human and veterinary orthopaedic and spine surgery, and is concurrently undertaking a PhD through the Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Wales Clinical School, University of New South Wales.
Clinically, Dan works with Vet Hospitals from the Mid-North Coast to Sydney, helping to provide a convenient, high standard of surgical care to pets in the comfort and familiarity of their local hospital and is pleased to be working closely with the team at Terrigal Vet Hospital to offer:
- Cranial cruciate ligament disease surgery (i.e. Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy or TPLO),
- Fracture repair
- Medial patella luxation correction (including femoral osteotomy if required)
- Joint fusion (arthrodesis)
